Aileen Bassis is a poet and visual artist in New York City working in book arts, printmaking, photography, and installation. Her use of text in art led her to explore the craft of poetry. She was awarded two residencies in poetry to Atlantic Center for the Arts. Her journal publications include Spillway, Grey Sparrow Journal, Canary, The Pinch, Prelude, and The Southampton Review. Her chapbook, The Other Side of the Mirror, will be published by Dark Onus Press in 2023.
