We are proud to announce a new poetry journal, Wherewithal.
Our own Head Poetry Editor Daniel Romo and Associate Poetry Editor Denise R. Weuve have created this new online journal seeking poems “that possess intensity, necessity, and grit.” Got some poems in need of a home? Submit them for the chance to appear in their inaugural issue. Of course, if you have some lonely prose poems, CC would love to take a look at them, too. Well, so would they. But there’s enough literary love to go around.
Some info from the founders:
Wherewithal was created out of love for the fine-crafted image, the cadence of a line that sings, words that haunt long after the poem has been put down, and respect for writers that need to be heard!
We will have three online issues a year in November, March, and July, with an annual contest as well, and a best-of print issue.
Submissions are now open for the inaugural issue, and will first meet our fabulous reader Melissa Prunty Kemp. Should they move past her discerning eye, Denise and Daniel will make the final decisions. Because we are ALL writers who understand the process, we will respond within a week, if not sooner, because we don’t like waiting, either.
SEND US YOUR BEST WORK! WE ARE WAITING.
