We have the winners for our 2013 Hallow/Hallowed Flash Fiction Contest! Stephen Graham Jones let us know that it was a crazy tough decision since all the stories were so spectacular, but here are the top three:
First: “The Rising Son” by Gordon White
Second: “Not Finding our Hallowed Mam” by Douglas Bruton
Third: “Extraordinary Machine” by Jan LaPerle
Honorable Mention: “The Ornithological Significance of Light Deprivation” by Rich Ives, “Seventeenth of December” by Raul Palma, and “Atavism” by Ryan Werner
We’ll be awarding over $360 to our winners! And, we’ll be publishing all stories next week for your reading pleasure. Congrats to the finalists, winners, and a big thank you to the submitters and Stephen Graham Jones! We’ll see you again next year.
