Lovely CC Readers,
Starting this Thursday, Cease, Cows will be accepting submissions for our Scary Short Story Contest. Your mission? Submit one previously unpublished flash fiction piece that will scare the cud out of us in 1,000 words or less. Our editorial staff reads contest entries blind, so please do not include any identifying information on the work itself (such as name, current pasture, barnyard coordinates, etc). Simultaneous submissions are fine, but we ask that you kindly withdraw your piece if it is accepted elsewhere. The submission period will run from 9/15/16 through 10/15/16. There is no charge, but alas, there is also no prize money (sorry, Charlie).
Publication dates are as follows:
- 10/29/16 (3rd place)
- 10/30/16 (2nd place)
- 10/31/16 (1st place)
